Default Affiliate IDs and spam

Affiliate IDs are associated with spam. If you're into affiliate programs, how do you go about your affiliate program promotion so that you won't be accused of spamming? There is no doubt commission rates from affiliate programs are attractive.

Certain forums allow you to put in your affiliate link on their forum. It would be the best and easy way to get traffic and avoid spam. Basically check out the terms and conditions of every site where you wish to put in your affiliate link.

I think that best way is to starting a thread promoting your program, then tell them that you will pm them the site if they post on that thread. I used this to market my affiliate link, so far it’s been doing good on me, but this varies on case to case basis.

This seems to be a better idea rather than posting it directly. I tried it out on My Lot, it was really helpful, I was able to get almost 32 referrals for some programs within a week. That works for sure, I did pm them my site & once they wish to they joined immediately.

One of the ways I do this is by only posting affiliate links explaining that they are affiliate links, and only in forum communities where I'm already a respected member. If you join a community just to post affiliate links, expect the boot.

You’re getting thirty two referrals?
What are you saying to get those kinds of numbers? I’m also with Mylot and I’m very happy whenever I get 3 referrals for a certain program.
