Default Re: Reset IIS

hey krishna,

I have tested in my .Net 2005 application(.NET FrameWork 2.0) and with windows XP and Windows 2003 server. Here i am not getting any IIS restart.

Below is the code,just try it...

private void TestIIS_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Directory.CreateDirectory(IIsConstants.DefaultRoot Directory + "Test");

}

private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Directory.Delete(IIsConstants.DefaultRootDirectory + "Test");
}

The code sample is about Creating a folder in IIS and deleting the Directory.

I have tested by deleting folders and subfolder in my Website also, but i have no issues...

Could you give me the following details about,

IIS version?

Version of .Net Framework?

Operating System?

and give me your code so that i can try to help you

i have added the below line in C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONF IG\web.config for monitoring the IIS reset error

<add name="Application Lifetime Events Default" eventName="Application Lifetime Events"

provider="EventLogProvider" profile="Default" minInstances="1"

maxLimit="Infinite" minInterval="00:01:00" custom="" />

still no event log for deleting the folder
