Angry Intel or AMD?

The long asked, same old question. Still being asked.
I personally prefer AMD for the following reasons.

Value for money (an equivalent Intel CPU costs at least 30% more)
Better motherboards – There are a wider variety of motherboards available for AMD than Intel and there is no limitation to one particular chipset.

Well there are several other factors to consider, and the over all decision should be made by each of us. I would like to hear from all why they prefer Intel/AMD

And oh yes... Most of the AMD motherboards comes with great performance tuning and overclocking options when compared to Intel boards. I really think Intel boards are for rookies...

Thumbs up Re: Intel or AMD?

I would like to opt for AMD because of its great and stunning performance. Its a proven result that AMD processors are much more faster than the Intel processors.

Hi
I am in the same confusions in buying AMD or INTEL, Is AMD Processor specify any particular Motherboard (Chipset) like INTEL, I am facing lot of the problem in ASUS Motherboard, Generally in Few months Inbuilt Network Card is not working I have to add separate NIC, performance is going slow after one year, but in INTEL same performance I can see after 3 years,.

Built in network card of one particular motherboard must have failed. But that doesn't imply that all ASUS MB's have problem. And performance degradation is purely software based and not hardware based as there is no such parts on a motherboard that could degrade on time. You see.. Intel drivers are good for stability on long run, but performace suffers. NVidia gives you ultimate performance and tuning facilities, but that may cause the driver to get currupted on long runs and thus may need maintainance. Thats the price of the performance you pay.

hmm... So you meant to say that AMD processors are for technicl experts who needs to play around with all the tiny values and tweaks, and Intel is for office/Home PC users who uses the system for business purposes ?
That will be a big negative marketing on Intel.
I have seen these Intel processors have large cooler fans where as AMD has a tiny one shiped with it. Wont that cause over heating ?

Today AMD has developed itself to be as competitive as Intel. We can even say that AMD is the best competition for Intel. Intel maybe faster than AMD but, the difference between this are only little.
