Default Too many server-side languages to choose from..

Hi, I'm a web designer trying to create a database-powered website on my own.
And I need to build a database for store locator / search function / customer newsletter sign up / comments & rating data / blog archive for my company's website.
(This probably is overwhelming for starting programmer like me..huh? ;-)

I've found couple schools & online training videos that would teach me the programs, but I just don't know which server-side language best fits my needs...There's SQL, mySQL, PHP, ASP, ASP.net and more..

I'm currently using windows system and mainly using Dreamweaver & Flash for creating a website. I also have knowledge in HTML and CSS.

Could anyone recommend me the best server-side langauge for me to use?
Any word of advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much~!!

According to my point of view ASP.net with C# is the best one...

Getting started as a beginner, you have to learn a lot.. Microsoft Technologies is the best we can go for.. this is because in .Net visual studio is having its own IDE and also we can easily design web pages and write server side coding very easily when compared to other web programming languages like php..

If you have decided to develop your web pages in .net then you can use the SQL server as your back end. so that you can easily store and retrieve datas and also write store procedures from the .Net IDE itself...

Oh boy, I'm a total stranger on C#.

I thought most forums and features utilize MySQL and PHP nowadays.., is there a reason why you wouldn't recomment using them?

I'm a dreamweaver user, so something that works nicely with DW would be great~!!

Thanks so much~~!
