The very first PC game I played as far as I can remember is Lode Runner. The game where you run away from some stick men and you can make a whole where you can trap them so you can escape. It was a fun game way back then. Can you still remember your first PC game? What was it?

Aside from Solitaire and Freecell, my first computer game came with my first computer. It was Descent and I only completed about three of the levels. It was about flying a space ship through mine shafts and shooting aliens and their robots, or something like that. I'd still find it nostalgic to play now.

Well, at the risk of showing my age... The first PC game I played (at least religiously) was Castle Wolfenstein. The original one, with a top-down view of the maze. This would have been about 1979 on an Apple ][. This is not to be confused with Wolfenstein 3D or Return to Castle Wolfenstein. All of which I played Pete

I wasn't playing computer games in 1979, I was putting quarters in machines at the arcade. I think one of the first ones that I saw was a golf game for Atari or Commodore that a friend of mine had.

Oh trust me, I was shoving enough quarters in arcade machines too! Actually, my first "real" job was working as an arcade attendant in 1980. That made it pretty easy to get really good at playing video games. But it wasn't until Doom came out that I thought computer gaming would ever be as good or better than in the arcade. Now, I tend to like FPS games better on PC than on the consoles even. Pete

I've played almost no games on a console, and not a lot on PC. I am interested in Silent Hill though, after hearing about the game and seeing the movie. Does anybody here still play Silent Hill?

Actually I just remembered another early PC game I played on a friend's computer was a pretty good golf game. I was terrible at it though, and when he watched me play, we found areas in the rough that he'd never seen before. ![]()

The first PC game I played was probably Day of The Tentacle. It's such a great game and is one of my favourites Also games like Full Throttle, Sam and Max: Hit the Road, Monkey Island etc I played a lot when I first got a PC and I love them all ![]()

Thats one of my favourite too... I remember spending lot of time playing those. But my first Pc game however is the bricks (the grand father of DX-Ball -- DX-Ball - download a free arcade game -- if you know) and Digger (Digger - Back and Digitally Remastered) . Played a lot of those in late 80's
