Default which is the best html editor ?

For me its Dreamweaver. It is a good editor for html but all the other languages such as javascript, vbscript, asp, jsp, xml, php and many more.

Also provide all the html elements in its visual view. Just drag and drop them in the page.

i don't like dreamweaver or frontpage. They make the code look like crap.

For me, it's crimson editor (a text editor with syntax highlightning)

I usually spend most of my time developing sites with a freebie called Smartscape. It allows you to edit pages once the ftp connection is established.

I prefer to use Frontpage most of the time even if it adds some extra codes, you can review and fix the code later. It features and live preview are my reasons to use it.

I'm getting familiar with Dreamweaver; it's better than anything else I've used so far.

Well, I would go for Frontpage as well because I find it rather user friendly.
It's the first html editor I've ever used and I have stuck with it ever since then.

I guess "best" would depend on your level of proficiency on web designing. If you're a beginner I think the best html editor is Ms Frontpage since this software is very user friendly. But if you're a novice one, I think dreamweaver is the best. It has a lot features you can do to your site.

Are you sure Dreamweaver is a good one? I'm very interested in having any of the html editors just so I could practice.
