Photoshop is familiar to us for a long time. The company is now acquiring a lot of other famous products such as Flash and Cool Edit. But I have noticed even some of the experts in Photoshop and Flash, mispronounce the company name Adobe. They just say it 'adob' . But the actual pronunciation of it is "AdoBEE". There are so many such technical terms that people generally mispronounce. If you find any, post it here....

yes you are right, I also used to mispronounce it before. Recently i found out its adoBEE.

Another Technical term which is normally mispronounced by people is LINUX.
some says it LINE-X, some says LIN-OOX , any way we have the original pronunciation from Linus Torvalds.

Actually there are two pronounciation for this word and both are accepted.

Commonly, the word is pronounced like how we pronounce the word 'doubter'

As Router is the device that routes the packets, and as the word route is pronounced like "root" (eg:- bus route), the word "Router" also pronounced like 'rooter'

Another commonly misprononced technical term is "Cache".... people tend to say it "Catch-ey" or "cash-ey". Both are wrong. It is just prononcued as CASH.

There is a country name commonly mispronounced - Egypt.
I have heard people pronouncing it as EGG-ipt. This is wrong.
The acutal pronounciation is like EE-jihpt.

"league" but the actual pronounciation is "cou"-league

which is similar to "cou" in the word "cought"..
