Default what is Globalisation?

Question : What is the truest definition of Globalization ?

Answer : Princess Diana's death .

Question : How come ?

Answer : An English princess with an
Egyptian boyfriend crashes in a
French tunnel, driving a
German car with a
Dutch engine, driven by a
Belgian who was drunk on
Scottish whisky: followed closely by
Italian Paparazzis in
Japanese motorcycles; treated by an
American doctor, using
Brazilian medicines.
And moreover this is sent to you by a
Indian,
using
American
(Bill Gates's) technology, and you're probably reading this on your computer, that use
Taiwanese chips, and a
Korean monitor, assembled by
Bangladeshi workers in a
Singapore plant, transported by
Pakistan lorry-drivers, hijacked by
Indonesians, unloaded by
Sicilian longshoremen, and trucked to you by
Mexican illegals..... That, my friend, is

"" Globalization ""

Hope u got it...??

Hi,
Its merely a general topic.I am a bad technical man.So
In .net,let me explain about Globalisation .To implementing a multilingual user interface, you design the user interface to open in the default UI language and offer the option to change to other languages.

Globalization is the first step in this process. A globalized application supports localized user interfaces and regional data for all users. Truly global applications should be culture-neutral and language-neutral. A globalized application can correctly accept, process, and display a worldwide assortment of scripts, data formats, and languages.

While your globalized application may possess such flexibility, ensure that you have separated the application's resources that require translation from the rest of the application's code. If you correctly test for localizability before proceeding to the localization step, you should not have to modify your application's source code during localization

Hi,
Also The Globalization process basically includes,

Internationalizing the application code
Followed by localizing the application to other languages and cultures

Internationalization: This includes translate, store, retrieve, and present application content for any locale. This means identify all parts of our application that need to be different from respective languages.

Localization: adapting your application to other locales by translating and formatting content according to culture. This involves configuring the application for the specific languages.

Culture: This is the combination of Language and the location.
For example
En-US - indication English spoken at United States.
En-GB - indication English spoken at Great Briton.

For implementing the Globalisation.its very important to create .resources files.

To proceed with this one, let us first create the .resources files. Here I am using six languages English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese To create .resources files.

resource.en-US.txt - which contains the below English text.

0001=Please Enter User Name
0002=Please Enter Password
0003=User Login
0004=Submit
0005=Cancel
0006=Welcome
0007=How are you today?
0008=Select Language

Like wise,you have to create the resource files 6 languages that you use in our code.For example resource.fr-FR will contain the code for French language

Globalisation is when my government sets things up to allow me to trade freely around the world while restricting the ability of other nations to trade in mine.

Also known in America as "Politics as usual".
