 Nokia is banking on Microsoft's multimedia platform The mobile handset market leader Nokia will in future integrate PlayReady, Microsoft's newly presented and recently introduced multimedia platform into mobile handset models of the S60 family and the 40 series. The platform allows digital content to be distributed to and controlled on handsets of mobile subscribers; it can play ringtones, music and videos of various formats (including Windows Media, AAC and H.264). The technology is compatible with Microsoft's digital rights management system DRM 10.     |
