To tell the truth, I don't really fancy any other present or upcoming company that is even remotely capable of matching (not to mention overtaking) Microsoft the mammoth, especially in the OS industry.

However, it'll be some amazing feat and one worth "celebrating"(?) if it ever happens. I'm guessing Bill Gates would be retired and won't really care by then.

In the OS industry, I consider windows as the Biggest contributor but not the best. I'm still a mac person and it won't change that easily in the near future.

I used to prefer using the Netscape browser, but after a while I just accepted Internet Explorer because it was preloaded on my computers with Windows.

I'm alright with that particular decision, but I'm not in favour of the monopoly in general.
