| WOW!!! This is a great discovery..... I checked it too... I have a contact with phone number +919894980809 in my contacts list and I dialled 9884980809 and the phone showed up calling "test number" (that was my contact person name. I doubt whether nokia is aware of it... |

| well dude, this bug is not only for nokia mobiles but also for other mobile manufacturing companies like sony ericsson ,motorola, sagem and am not sure about other manufactures because i didnt check it with those mobile.... i noticed that this bugs occurs only if u change any of first three digits of ur contact...i dont know why the phone considering only the last seven digits of the dialled number leaving other numbers because i found another bug....let us consider this no 9884226767 which is saved as xxx in my contact list...if i dial 123456789884226767 the screen show the call dialled to xxx from this i concluded that the phone is considering only the last seven digits leaving all the number in front of this seven numbers i got one question from this.. why the phone considering only the last seven digits ...why not last eight or nine digits????whats the reason behind this?????

| Hmm.. I found this to be done intensionally... The phones check only the last seven digits for contact match... This is because some countries have this 7 digit mobile number, but here we have ten digit numbers and we quite often find similar with last 7 digits common. Like 9842365865 and 9942365865 |
