| Re: best IDE for mobile programming Both are equally good. You can do more things with Eclipse via plugins. For example with Eclipse i code C/C++, Python and Java,J2ME and i edit Latex documents also. The GUI builder of Netbeans is very nice. I am not sure if there is such thing in Eclipse ( or if there is one it might not be as efficient) it is just a matter of taste, try both and pick up the one you like.

| Re: best IDE for mobile programming Netbeans: Easier to pick up and start development. Has more features "out of the box". Eclipse: Lighter on your computer (less of a memory hog). Also very good. Easier to extend.

| Re: best IDE for mobile programming Well, regarding plugins, the same can be done in NetBeans as well (C/C++, Latex, etc.) the only difference is that standard NetBeans distribution comes with most of the functionality and people don't need to download plugins from third parties.
