| Hi, You didn't understand what I have said .... The forum will see the EXTERNAL address whatever the computer you log in with this address from your local network. It's doesn't care about te ip address of your local network. If this address or range of ip address is block as the administrator for whatever the reaseom, simply ask unblock it. Again images = 1000 word. Read how it's really work here: Network address translation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

| Hi , When I check nslookup I see this: DNS request... ***can't find server name for address 192.xxx.x.x. Default Server: whateverwhatever.srvr.whatever. Address: 69.156.x.x. This is what is shown on the main desktop computer. Now when I look at the laptop the addresses for both are the same : 192.xxx.x.x. From my understanding, therefore the forums can see both these addresses. Yes or no? |

| Hi no, it is not blocked...the forum in question just has it's own rules and those rules are that they do not allow 2 members from the same IP address. Which is stupid, we both want to be a part of that forum, and I am looking for a way around it... others have done it, I just don't know them enough to ask them and I'd rather do it on my own anyway...better than to confide in someone of that forum. |

| Hi satheesh, From my understanding, therefore the forums can see both these addresses. Yes or no? It should not be able to see either of the 192 addresses

| Hi arjkhanna, If it's not able to see the 192 address, then I'd be able to use the laptop cus I noticed if I check with Your IP Address is 69.10.142.36 it does show a different external address than that of the desktop comp. |

| Hi satheesh, Ever feel like using your FULL screen to surf the web? It's easy as 1-2-3: 1)Select "Run" from the "Start Menu" 2)Type "IEXPLORE -K" (without the quotes) and press ENTER 3)Use following commands to navigate: Alt+F4 - Exit Alt+LeftArrow - Go Back Alt+RightArrow - Go Forward TIP: If you're using Communicator 4.x, you can start it with the "-K" command line option as described above, to start Netscape without menus (larger view than normal, but it's not a full screen view). TIP: If you're using Explorer 4.x, you can select "View | Full Screen" or press F11 instead, to change to the full screen view.

| Hi nnraja, If you want to print from a DOS program to a network printer, you have to bind the printer port used by the particular DOS program to the network printer path. For example, let's say your DOS program prints to LPT1 (most DOS programs do) and your printer is on the network at the following network path: \\MY_SERVER\PRINTER Go to the "DOS/Command Prompt" Type the following command: NET USE LPT1: \\MY_SERVER\PRINTER and press ENTER.

| Hi all, Any one have a knowledge about my post that why my email is redirected to the adiminstrator inbox? I am not using Microsoft outlook express. For my email i always using http://mail.yahoo.com. Your help will be appreciated. Thank you an advance. |

| Hi, I use Outlook and cable... I don't know why your system is doing what it is doing, but you don't block it. But rather, you would configure not to send it to that address.

| Hi all, I have a basic Yahoo Mail account that I occasionally use and I just scoured it to see if I could find the ability to have an email that I sent to someone automatically forwarded to another email address. As far as I can tell (and I spent some time on this) that functionality does not exist in Yahoo Mail (the free, basic edition.) There is a paid service called Yahoo Mail Plus (which I do not have) that claims to offer automatic email forwarding and it is possible that this is what is being used by your network admin to get emails. But, I find this to be unlikely because the network admin would have had to have access to your personal email account to set this up. Do you pay for Yahoo Mail Plus?

| Hi arjkhanna, it sounds like he's just using the web based version of yahoo. I'm absoutely confused by the idea that it would forward to the administrator. He may be using some kind of proxy software to 'capture' information as you send it across the network, that's all I can really think of as a possibility. If that's the case there isn't much you can do about it. |
| |||
| And as yahoo mail basic does not provide an SMTP/POP access to it's mailbox, it will be impossible to auto forward the mails that comes to that inbox unless yahoo provides such a facility. |

| Hi All, Yahoo's "mail client" in this case is just a website, really works no difference than this forum, except text is emailed not posted to the web. Either way the communication between workstation and yahoo's server is via the web, not mail protocols. |
| |||
| Hi all, I'm aware, but I wanted to stress IE is not a "mail client" in the sense that it does not use any of the mail protocols, it is a webclient being used to communicate data to a webserver, which in turn uses mail protocols. Point being, for the purposes of the network admin, there's nothing "special" about yahoo mail over any other site, so if he's intercepting mail it must be through something specially designed to intercept yahoo mail pages |
