windows 2003 DNS Issue

Hi,


I have installed windows 2003 St server and when i was installing DNS server I provided the domain name mydomain.com instead of mydomain.local and then after installing Active Directory and excahnge 2003 I realised this now i want to change this to mydoamin.local is there any way to do this without disturbing all the settings becasue when i am creating new new zone -> priamry zone -> "mydomain.local" after creating not showing the dns details as in "mydomain.com" forward look up zone like the records that need to be in there. please guide what should i have to do.

Hi,

that means you need to perform a domain rename. I understand that While installing active directory you made a mistake instead creating the domain with mydomain.local you created mydomain.com.

Actually i want to retain the same domain name but with .local if if you able to give me some specific sort of setup procedure for this.
