my pc do not detect my pen drive i instaled xp with sp2 whats the problem it is? whenever i use safemode it will detect perfectly! is windows xp need any drivers?

Windows XP does not require any other special driver..It will automatically detects the PEN drive...if it will plugged

Otherwise Check the Device Manager

May be XP is not installed properly

hi,

You don’t need any third party drivers for the PEN Drive,
May be the existing windows USB DRIVER has corrupted,
Just go to Device Manager
Click on Universal Serial Bus Controllers
Uninstall the all the USB Drivers
and click on Scan for hardware changes, it will install automatically

Hi Friends,

Is the same problem for me too.

If i connect the Pen Drive in my PC, i have able to see that new hardware found alert but windows could not able to identify the removable disk.
