Talking Restore CentOS if crashed

If your CentOS is crashed, you can restore the previous working session by the following steps,

Quote:
1. Restart the System
2. Boot the system with the CentOS Installation CD
3. Press F5(Rescue) in the first boot screen
4. Then, type "linux rescue" and press "Enter"
5. You have forwarded to the language chosen screen, choose your language
6. Then, select the keyboard type
7. Then, select the network interfaces - "no". If "yes" you have to set the network configurations again
8. Then press "continue" in the "Rescue" screen
9. Then, you have forwarded to a command prompt.give the following command
cd /mnt/sysimage
Here you can set the default classpath settings by editing the bash files

10.Then, remove the boot CD and restart the system

Now, the centOS is recovered with default classpaths...
Hope this will help you.

Regards

SANS
