I want to build my own website. I want to know how I could build a cart that can accept orders from my clients. Can anyone here show me the code for this?

Well, writing a code for shopping cart is not easy. If you hire a programmer it'll be expensive. But, there are many pre-written scripts you could use. OSCommerce is widely used, its free, you can try it.

Thanks for sharing. You have not stated where I can find one. I will really appreciate it. BTW, what programming language can I use it with?

This software is pretty new to me.

Hi,

There are a lot of PHP open source shopping carts available....

Try these:

OpenCart - Demonstration

phpShop - A Simple Shopping Cart

Or else you can go for a complete framework or CMS solutions like
  • Joomla
  • PHPIzabi
  • Xoops

Hope this Helps!!!

Thanks
Shiva...

Just google OSCommerce you'll get all the information about the script. Its written in PHP I suppose, and needs to be installed on your server to use it. And then you can access admin panel to configure payment gateway, add products, etc.
