Default mysql dump

hi
i have mysql dump file
its extenstion " .dump"
how to i retsore it into the mysql database
i dont have PhpMyAdmin installed on the system ..

R u using Linux Machine

Locate ur mysql

use prompt

>mysql

mysql -u username -p password DBNAme < sqldump.dump

Yes..you are right..
the problem was not with the command syntax..
but it was the .dump file . which created the problem...
Problem was solved when a new dump file was created for testing
