PAT SERVER

It is very easy to develop a chat web based application in php using the PAT server. PAT Server is nothing but a socket programming in Php. It is a generic server class that can be used to develop connection-oriented daemons in PHP. Provides callback functionality so there's no need to learn PHP's socket functions.

It is a free PHP application tool.

Can you list some of the chat softwares developed in this technology with fast response time and easy to manage

Yeah, I just recommented the patserver php socket application for developing the chat application. I've check out patTelnetChatServer.php, and I thought it was great. Ive already developped a simple chat server, http based. I found the chat application developed in flashchat moock.org > uAvatarChat, App Pack for Unity 2.
