| Install Visual Studio Team Suite Trial on machine that is running Visual Studio Professional Edition Hi, I have a scenario here and need some confirmations. If I install Visual Studio Team Suite Trial version on the machine that is running Visual Studio Professional Edition. Questions: 1. If the trial VSTS expired, will it affect the Visual Studio Professional Edition? 2. If I uninstall the VSTS trial edition, will it affect the Visual Studio Professional Edition?

| I'm not sure you can install two different SKUs of VS2008 on the same machine. Even if you can get it to install, I would expect problems during an uninstall since so many files/components are shared. If you're going to try it, I'd advise you to expect to have to uninstall both versions and reinstall Visual Studio Professional at some point. Are you just looking to try out some of the features of Team Suite? My recommendation would be to download the Virtual PC image which has TFS and VS Team Suite installed and configured. This would allow your development environment to remain clean and not risk corrupting your installation of Visual Studio Professional. | Thanks bluesky for the reply. That is for my customer's scenario andfor the product evaluation purpose. I did suggested them to use virtual enviroment, however, they insist to install on the physical environment. What I am worried is, when they uninstalled the trial VSTS and will uninstall their currently VS08 Professional, or if the trial expired will affect their own VS08. If no one experience this scenario before, they might need to take the risk to reinstall the VS Pro after the evaluation period.
