Default How do I use .htaccess to redirect

I already have all non-www. links redirected as www. Now I want to redirect pages that have more than one url to the same url to avoid supplemental results. For example pages with and without .index. How do I do this in simple terms?

Sorry my man but the only experience i have with the .htaccess file is with regard to banning ip's and such.

u can use the Rewrite Rule to redirect the pages.
