low cost hardware iSCSI storage with Windows Server 2008 clustering support

I am searching for a low-cost iSCSI storage solution based on hardware and supported for Windows Server 2008 clustering. It will be used for testing and demo. I have used the Starwind iSCSI target but think the performance is not right for serious testing and demo's.

Anyone with tips on such a device? Something like Sansdigital MobileRAID MR8S ?

Hi,

we have used a DL380 and the MS Target software which works well for a simple 3 box cluster.

there is also a number of linux options you can use.

Hi,

Pretty much any current shipping array works with Win2008 Failover Clustering. So pick what you like, and ask the vendor to verify... but there is very little that doesn't work. SAS is also another low cost storage option in addition to iSCSI, that works great with Failover Clustering and gives great performance

We also have the Failover Cluster Configuration Program (FCCP) which lists vendors that have pre-tested solutions as well
