What is latest version of Visio EA?

Does anyone know what the latest version of Visio Enterprise Architect is?

All I can find in my premium MSDN subscription is Visio EA for 2005, but there already is a Visio 2007 Professional and a Visio 2007 Standard. So, is there a Visio 2007 EA?

To make matters worse, I have downloaded and installed the entire Visual Studio 2008 suite, but when I go to install Visio 2005 EA it says that I don't have the required Visual Studio installed. My guess is that it is looking for VS 2005 items and doesn't recognize the VS 2008. But I do NOT want to have to have both VS 2005 and VS 2008 installed at the same time.

Any information would be welcomed. Thanks!

Hi,

The latest version of Visio for Enterprise Architects is VEA 2005 - there is no VEA 2008. Most, but not all, of the functionality of VEA is now provided by Visio Pro 2007. This is because the ability to reverse engineer code is now provided by all versions of Visual Studio in the form of the class designer where the code is continuously synchronized with the model. More robust modeling functionality will be provided within Visual Studio Team System in the future. Further, since Visio Pro 2007 shipped prior to VSTSAE 2008, it does not install the necessary software in VSTSAE 2008 to make the previous VEA integration with the IDE work.

So, it sounds like you need VS 2005 instead of VS 2008 to use VEA 2005.
