Data Integrity

Ensuring data is "whole" or complete, the condition in which data is identically maintained during any operation (such as transfer, storage or retrieval), the preservation of data for its intended use, or, relative to specified operations, the a priori expectation of data quality. Put simply, data integrity is the assurance that data is consistent, correct, and accessible.

Data Validity

Data validity is the correctness and reasonableness of data. Reasonableness of data means that, for example, account number falling within a range, numeric data being all digits, dates have a valid month, day and year, spelling of proper names.
