| Page Response Time on Load Test run on Test Rig I am confused about the results coming back from a load test that includes one web test. He is a short description of the test rig: - Two web nodes (load balanced) on Domain A - Machines Web1,Web2 - One SQL Server on Domain A - Machine SQL - One Test Controller on Domain A - Machine TestControl - Visual Studio 2008 installed on machine TestControl - Test Agent (currently only one) installed on developer box on Domain B In Visual studio I can connect to the test rig and see that the agent is ready. The load test currently only has one scenario and only one web test that is bound to a datasource feeding unique rows. The test is for user's signing up for a new account and completing their profile. The idea of this test is to see how far the system can go (stress) so we would like to get back threshold violations on the SUTs (memory, processor, etc.) and virtual user experience results (results in page load delays or errors). I have setup counters to monitor the SUT's: Web1, Web2 & SQL I have run a couple short smoke tests using stepping (2 users every 5 secs) with a maximum of 20 users over 5 mins. When I view the test results, the graph "Page Response Time" has no data. - Is the agent not reporting any repsonse times back? - Is it possible that I'm not running this on the test rig? Under "Edit Test Run Configuration" I have selected "remote" and selected my controller. As I said, I appear to be getting all the counter information and under the "Key Indicators" there is an Avg. Response Time value that is reported by the controller. But why is the Page Response Time Data blank? What metrics indicate to me the virtual user's experience? Another note, I have enabled distributed think times. |

| HI, try running the test for more than 15 mins. say 30 mins. Some time i too use to get this problem. When i view the "Page Response Time" and "Transactions" after say 5 to 10 mins, all the other table values will be recorded except these two... but after a while say 15 min these two tables gets updated will all the values. Since all my loadtest are over 1 hour i dont get into trouble.

| Hi, One other tidbit that I noticed after monkeying with this a while is that page statistics are not posted until a recorded web test has run to completion. So if your recorded test takes 5 minutes for the script to run to completion, you will need to run the load test for more than 5 minutes before the initial page stats begin to be reported for that test. It looks like it can't really compile the page stats until the test completes it's run.
