How to loop the perticular test case in load test

hi all,

I am using vsts 2008 for load testing my website, i want to check in test cases after log in to application there is insert option, i want to repeat this insert option alone in loop is it possible?

can any one help on this please...

Hi,

You can generate a coded webtest for just the Insert option and loop in the code or you can look at using the Edit Test Mix functionality of the Load Test and use the Initialize & Terminate Tests.

If you want to learn about Extracting Web Tests read How to: Extract a Web Test. I would suggest extracting requests up until the Insert Option and use that as your Initialize Test, then everything after the Insert Option as your Terminate Test.

If you want to learn about Creating a Coded Web Test, read: How to: Create a Coded Web Test. Then you would have to find the section of code that you want to repeat and create a loop.
