Thumbs up Re: Smart Object?

Hi PixelNameVj - i'm new to this forum - i'm happy to discuss about the smart object with you.

The smart object is very usefuly one for obtimizing and redusing the number of layers like merge layer, but we can edit the layers in smart object method. just work out this, you will wonder.

ex:

1. create a new file & place 2 or more images in each layers
2. select all the layers and click the arrow in the top right corner of layer pallet and select the option "Group into new smart object".
3. now see your work area it will merged and look at the layer, there is only one layer (like the layer merging).
4. if u move the layer in the work area all are moving. if u want to edit each image, then double click the layer in the layer pallet.
5. it will open with new file contains the image layers that you grouped previously.
6. now you can edit them and save it. then the original file will be reflected your modification.

In this method you can create number of smart object according to your requirement. its just work like the "set" option but without sub layers.

Hope it will be useful to you. All the best

Have a nice time.

Thanks,
pesc
