Change the Softkey Buttons (WM5)

Create the following keys and Strings in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\11 2
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\11 3
112 is the left key and 113 is the right. Now for each key create a new string named Open and set the target path.

Example:
Default Notes
Open \Windows\notes.exe

Pocket Outlook: Specify any SMTP Port

* Note do not try this with an existing account. You must create a new account in order for this to work. - Setup your email account and when you get to the Outgoing SMTP enter the server name as specified by your ISP. Proceed the server name with a colon and your desired port number. - Example: smtp.yahoomail.com:2500

Disconnect GPRS by Shortcut (WM5)

Once connected, GPRS will remain connected unless the user turns on flight mode, which will turn of all radio connections, including the phone. The user cannot selectively choose to disconnect only the GPRS connection.
Note On Pocket PC only, you can set the registry key
HKLM\ControlPanel\Phone\Flags2
to DWORD=1 to enable a disconnect button for GPRS connections to appear in the connectivity list.

Change font properties of menus

The keys under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE\Menu\BarFnt
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE\Menu\PopFnt
hold menus font properties. I like:
Wt="400" (or 0x190, non-bold)
Ht="800" (or 0x320, standard size)

Fine tune shortcuts for buttons

You'll find everything you need under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys
These properties are set by Settings->Buttons,
but the fine tune will let you do more and even change those icons.
